Credit card companies are misleading customers over the time it takes to credit their account if they pay by cash - with banking giant RBS/NatWest even admitting it may hit customers with late fees despite them paying within the time allotted by new rules. Providers are telling their customers it can take four days to credit their account if payment is made in cash over the counter, despite new regulations that mean they should arrive in half that time.
