A loophole in consumer protection law is allowing group-buying websites to deny customers cash refunds and give credit in their place. Distance Selling Regulations require websites to give customers a full cash refund inside a seven working day cooling-off period from the date of purchase of goods and services. But problems are arising because the websites issue vouchers when customers make a purchase.
