The BBC is to shine a spot light on the work of High Court enforcement officers.
Officers, often known as sheriffs, will feature in the ten-part series airing daily on BBC1 at 11am from today (19 March) to 30 March. The Sheriffs Are Coming will be a 45-minute programme looking at the people, many of who are owed thousands of pounds and how they recover debts. The cameras then follow some of the sheriffs as they visit the debtors in an attempt to execute the writ and recover the debt. Armed only with a chip and pin machine, the sheriffs are seen travelling in teams of two as not all debtors are “pleased” to see them, the BBC said in a statement....Read MORE HERE
