Barclaycard has angered customers after pulling a cashback credit card offer after just three days – leaving some successful applicants in the dark wondering if they have qualified for the promotion. Britain’s biggest credit card company launched the Barclaycard Platinum deal with 11 per cent cash back on spending on 15 November. The lender promised to pay cashback on all spending, with a maximum pay out of £100, until December 31, as long as customers transferred a balance of at least £250 to the card.
However, it withdrew the offer from its website on 18 November. Adding to the confusion a link to the card from the MoneySavingExpert website continued to work for three more days. However, customers were then left even further confused after the bank sent out Platinum credit cards to applicants without details of the cashback scheme. A number of customers took to forums to complain about the lack of information when they called the Barclaycard. When calling Barclaycard customer services, some customers were told they had qualified for the deal, others were simply told that the offer had been withdrawn....Read more here---> Barclaycard confuses customers with 11% cashback deal that only lasted three days
