The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames has issued a three-year tender for two bailiff firms to assist the recovery of unpaid council tax and business rates. The successful firms will also assist the council with the collection of Housing Benefit overpayment, with an option to extend the contract by a further two years upon completion of the initial term, which begins on 1 November this year.

No figure has been put on the outstanding amount to be collected, but the Council’s procurement department has informed Credit Today that the amount will fluctuate depending on the number of outstanding claims.
