HM Revenue and Customs has confirmed the ten debt collection agencies (DCAs) it will use to recover tax debt. The names, first reported by Credit Today in June, have been released by the taxman following a cool-off period, which was entered into after the tender process concluded on 20 May. The agencies will now commence a two-year contract worth up to £70m in fees.

The successful agencies are: Apex Credit Management, Direct Legal & Collections, Fairfax Solicitors, iQor, Rossendales, CCS Collect, CCSG, Advantis, Fredrickson International, and Close Credit Management.

Fairfax Solicitors, iQor and CCS Collect have been retained from a previous project run by HMRC.
