A new credit report is being launched which will, for the first time, allow consumers to see which products they will qualify for before applying.
Householders will be able to get free copies of their credit report for life, under a new service offered by reference agency Call Credit.
The company is launching Noddle, which will allow you to log in and see your credit report at any time you want, without ‘free’ trials that morph into costly monthly subscriptions or upfront fees. Customers will also be able to see tailored financial products for which they stand a good chance of approval, and can challenge problems on their credit file directly with the reference agency.
Noddle will launch for just 10,000 customers today (THURS) but hopes to roll out internationally in a few months time. Customers will be able to see whether there are black marks on their credit record from unpaid debts and whether banks or other companies have made mistakes that are costing them every time they apply for a financial product or mobile phone contract.
