Re: liandconsmum's UE Diary
I'll at least say that Iqor was polite and said "please be assured that we had no intention of causing any upset in our attempts to contact you to discuss repayment of the above-mentioned account." I know, I need to remember this is a DCA and most likely a good cop/bad cop routine, putting HBOS in the bad cop seat, and Iqor in the good cop seat. LOL

Re: liandconsmum's UE Diary
Letter from Iqor today. Halifax is officially going on my "numpty" list, right alongside Santander.
We sent the letter to solicitors as recommended, pointing out that the account is still in dispute and that they need to tread carefully, basically. It appears they then sent the account back to Iqor (DCA). Which is fine.
Iqor then contacted Halifax/HBOS about the dispute. HBOS responded to Iqor, and Iqor quoted part of HBOS's letter in Iqor's letter to me... (confused yet? sigh). Basically, this is what HBOS says about the dispute:
"Please be advised that the agreement and terms & conditions provided to you do comply with the regulations, if the customer disagrees with this then please ask them to write to our Customer Relations Department for them to investigate and respond."
Then Iqor provided the address for that department at HBOS. Iqor has put the account on hold for 2 weeks to allow time "for you to advise how you intend to progress this matter."
Okay. I've sent letters to Halifax/HBOS stating that it's not compliant and they need to send me one that is. I've sent letters to Iqor saying it's not compliant and they need to send one that is. (well, over the last year) Now apparently they were not aware of this and I need to put it down in writing AGAIN and send it somewhere else?? Isn't this customer relations department in the same company?!? Do they not communicate internally there?
So... options
- first, write back to Iqor telling them that as it is not compliant, of course I will be following up on that.
- write to this blasted customer service department in their collections and recovery section and enclose a copy of the previous letter and state that I'm not sure why I'm now being asked (after xxxx amount of time) to send this to them as I would think a large company like HBOS would have cross-trained their employees to actually forward paperwork internally, but here you go....
- sit back and wait for more nonsense from HBOS

Yep, see what they say......Originally posted by liandconsmum View PostVirgin - they are currently looking into our request for reimbursement of mis-sold PPI. Awaiting their response.
Okies, just wait and see what comes back......Originally posted by liandconsmum View PostTesco - the DCA for this one sent us a letter (recvd today) stating that they are chasing down Tesco to find out why they still haven't responded to the request for a CCA and will get back with us once it's been obtained.
Ok, best of luck.....Originally posted by liandconsmum View PostOD - was going to send a letter with proposed payment plan to them, however, finances still in major upheaval right now. The DCA just sent us a letter asking for an update, but really don't have one for them yet. so just waiting at present....
Keep us updated yea?

Re: liandconsmum's UE Diary
Ok thanks for clearing this up - seems these are your lucky provider lol, they messed up a little too much me thinksOriginally posted by liandconsmum View PostThat's the Santander credit card that they sent us a "status of account" letter along with the CCA stating twice on the page that we had a zero balance. So we took them at their word on that one and stopped payments. The only thing we've gotten from them since July was a "statement of account" a couple months ago showing that they put the money from the CCA request towards the balance due showing on the statement of account. It's hanging in mid-air right now basically. We decided that if they start hassling us, we'll send them a copy of the letter that states "£xx amount paid on account, balance £0, balance still owed £0" and let them stew over that for a bit. I think the balance was actually about £2000.
The DNs from that one were literally daily post we received over about 45 days - it alternated between statements, letters from the same "collection person" and DNs. It was ridiculous really, so I kept them all in case I needed them.

Keep the info for this safe, you may need it later!

Re: liandconsmum's UE Diary
Ok, don't worry about it - if they attempt any legal action you will win - as a result of not knowing, and subsequently being disadvantaged, the actual amount required to remedy the breach.....Originally posted by liandconsmum View PostNope. Just one account.
It's the same type of weird thing they did with a different account of ours - although on that one we got 15plus DNs with varying amounts over the course of about 45 days. It was unreal.
So with this one, ignore them and stop paying!
as for the other account with 15 DN's - whats the score on that front?

Re: liandconsmum's UE Diary
Exactly - and just to clarify, these are all for the same account right? Definitely not more than one account?Originally posted by liandconsmum View PostNiddy - I've updated the info in the post above. The DNs do not have a total balance listed anywhere on them, only the amount they have listed as "arrears", which doesn't match the statement.

Niddy - I've updated the info in the post above. The DNs do not have a total balance listed anywhere on them, only the amount they have listed as "arrears", which doesn't match the statement, but I did add in the total balance from the statement in the bottom half of the post.Last edited by liandconsmum; 14 February 2011, 22:35.

Re: liandconsmum's UE Diary
Can you confirm the actual true balance of the account? I am confused by it all as well....
You have provided the arrears at the date of default, thanks for this, but what was the statement balances on the dates used above?
Please edit the post above with additional info - (see the red font) thanks!
