Not sure which I have - will send you a copy if ok ?

I find it crazy that I stopped paying in 2005 and the default was registered with CRA in 2010 !!

Makes no sense to me ( I should probably be worried that my current account is with them ? )

    Confused

I WILL GET A MORTGAGE ONE DAY !

HAD 3 MORTGAGES WHEN I WAS 21 YEARS OLD BUT NOW GOT MORE CHANCE OF WINNING THE LOTTERY LOL
I you have multiple accounts get your main account out to another Bank not connected with their group as they could/will offset any balance from one account to another which they can do.

Is their only one type of default the send in the post then - the s.87/s.88 CCA DN and this has bugger all to do with the Credit Reference Agencies..is that right?

Out of interest if they had sent you a notice of default in 2005 but only registered it in 2009 could you have tried to get it back dated with the CRA's to 2005 on your file so it dropped off earlier.

    You saved £2.5 k though!!

Look how long till they defaulted me - almost 3 years but FOS said it was fine fools.

ps that is also statute barred

The Lloyds one is strange but I will try to sort it - have the DN in black and white dated 2005 !
The DN, ie a default notice served under s.87 of CCA 1974..? Is that what you mean?

If so, that is not the same - I explained this here (look up) --> Default Removal - Almost there! I think.... - allaboutFORUMS

A DN with the CRA's is entirely different to a CCA Default Notice (s.87/s.88 CCA1974) - totally different in every capacity.

As regards Equifax all the info I can find ( including your work on the subject ) shows that many lenders only use Experian for searching purposes eg Nationwide although they often report to all !

Ahh NW do search Experian but they report to all, yes but see when it comes to mortgage - see this

So they got a default, wow - I saved 2 and a half grand so who won that, really?

Try and see things from that angle... seriously, you'll laugh when you stop worrying about your credit file. I started this forum with over 50 defaults or something mad like that.... none were mine back then, victim of ID fraud and I have spent 5 years fighting to clear my name then I get this - it's laughable
