    Good luck with it
Thanks , not telling them I'm going on holiday not giving them any reason to say no . Hubby scanned the form before we sent it off and he is going to print it out and take it with us and go through it with them so they can't try to put words into my mouth .

I'm taking my back support pillow with me as i don't know what type of chair they will have for me to sit in and in any case my anxiety makes me restless and after about 20 minutes i will be wanting to get out of the room in panic , not sure how they will handle this but I can't help it i can't sit for more than 20 minutes tops .

I think there's a section on the forms to put down any dates when you won't be able to attend a F2F assessment. If you need someone with you it can also be the dates when they won't be able to go.

I agree. Definitely don't tell them that you're going on holiday.

I'm off to visit a friend who lives abroad.

I can go on holiday knowing the assessment has been done and really relax with my mind at rest x

Yes I think it's classed as a reassessment of the disability so you carry on receiving what you previously got until a decision has been made and any change will start from the date they make the decision.

I remember the time I had all my DLA taken away at tribunal by the most hostile tribunal judge and the worst experience of my life. I was previously on DLA low rate mobility & middle rate care. After a renewal they reduced my care to low rate so I appealed. It took a year to get to tribunal and the decision was that I was not entitled to any award of DLA from the date that I first appealed, a year before. A disability advisor said that the dwp could ask for the money back that they had paid me during the year it took to reach tribunal but luckily they didn't and guess they were just happy to draw a line under it and get another statistic off the books.

    That's correct.

I you get DLA then you continue to get that until the PIP decision I made, but its not backdated if a higher amount
