Coincidentally I had a letter from B'card today advising me that I was due a refund due to them ' not meeting their expected standards for assessing customer's circumstances or engaging with them'

They have offered to refund interest & default fees amounting to £611.92 and asked PRA Group to reduce my outstanding balance

Good start considering I havent written to them yet !
If the debt has been assigned then Barclaycard should refund you direct as tey no longer own the debt. Respond to them and reject their kind offer to pay PRA instead......

How can Barclaycard ask/tell PRA to reduce your outstanding balance with them (PRA) when they (Barclaycard) no longer own the debt? That's a rhetorical question and one which may cause them assignment issues further down the line.

Don't worry about the thread merging suggestion, carry on posting on each thread separately unless that changes.

    Hello

The important thing is you get the help and support you need when you need it, so I'll take a look at all your debt threads tomorrow and ask you some questions to get a feel for your overall situation.

If threads need to be merged then a Moderator can do that for you.

Roger ... afraid the link you posted did not work for me . I get this message - forums.all-about-debt.co.uk’s server IP address could not be found.

I appreciate that more info' is required and am about to issue a SAR request to by ex DMP provider ... Gregory Pennington.

I assume it best to await receipt of their response before posting more info' . In mean time I would appreciate assistance on how best to present the info'

    Thank you

    Hi
Sadly you really do not give anywhere enough detail on each debt

    Questions such as
    When was the account opened
    Who owns the account now
    Has the account been defaulted
    When was the last payment

Also it might help if all the debts were in one long thread where you could quote the basic post when there were updates

nightwatch might be able to help

Well I think it was Churchill filled in an exam paper by putting down only his name.
AAD uses a Diary approach basically so that good advice can be given on a known and clear knowledge of correspondence received and sent in relation to a specific Debt.
please provide the following information for each account:
    • Type of account (credit card/loan)
    • Date commenced (ideally before Apr 2007)
    • Approx balance
    • Date last paid (approximate date you last made a FULL payment)
    • Are you on arrangement or not paying
    • Status (default/in arrears/up-to-date)
    • Account owner (who is writing to you, a DCA or the lender)
Providing the above information, for each account helps me. Then, when you start the process lay your diary out in a format like this example
    --->
    Example of perfect layout
