That's as may be, pompey, but it could cause me problems as I'll only be able to have a Cashminder account for the foreseeable future.

Anybody remember their parents Co-oP Number? 4780, I forget my Aunties who was bed bound with cancer and I use to do her weekly shopping when I was young? and Co-oP use to supply the School Uniforms so the Divi helped a bit!

Then you have my sympathy, but as good as they were too many, that simply was not the case for me and I just see them as part of the banking mess that ripped off many of their customers.

The Co-operative are in the main a good company indeed I cannot speak well enough of their retail, holiday and funeral arms and indeed my wife is a Southern Co-operative employee it is just a shame they had to try and follow the big boys in the banking sector with PPI and many other useless products instead of finding their own way and living up to there benchmark of ethical banking.

if it is indeed the case it'll make lives for many many current bankrupts VERY difficult seeing as co op (before BR) and barclays are the only 2 who offer basic accounts....BUT on the other side the way they've treated me in the past is far far from the service I had over 6yrs ago when I opened....its the frontline staff and job losses that make me sick
