  • CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19): MOTS FOR CARS, VANS AND MOTORCYCLES DUE FROM 30 MARCH 2020: TIME EXTENDED

From 30 March 2020, MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be extended by 6 months. This is being done to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

There’s separate guidance about what to do if your MOT due date is up to and including 29 March 2020 which can be found:
What to do if your car, van or motorcycle’s MOT due date is up to and including 29 March 2020.

This is welcome since I faced being unable to renew my car tax as this can't be done if an MOT is due within a month.

I hope the DVLA online facility is updated to reflect these changes.

can anyone help with the information on the government grants for self employed, we've been shut down because of the virus, we rent a stall on an indoor market and although the council have said they will be in contact with us regarding the grants which for us would be the £10,000 one of payment there is lots of people saying that this counts as income and will affect working tax credits which we get right now and if it wasn't for this we'd be comepletly ruined financially . PlanB who i think still posts on here would love our mortgage companies response to us asking for a payment holiday and we have reported Kensington to the banking ombudsman .
