How damaging are late payment markers

How damaging are late payment markers

I'm picking up late payment markers as of late.

How disastrous are they in the medium to long term if applying for credit?

Say I have 3 or 4 that are more than 12 months old. I see they stay on my credit file for 6 years!!!!

Depends how many, to whom & how regular.

I miss my catalogue payments all the time and have about 7 [1]'s throughout last 6 years but that's fine as its all the same firm and spread out. Mistakes/oversights happen. Missing every other payment or more than 3+ in a year will down score you.

I'm the forum administrator and I look after the theme & features, our volunteers & users and also look after any complaints or Data Protection queries that pass through the forum or main website. I am extremely busy so if you do contact me or need a reply to a forum post then use the email or PM features offered because I do miss things and get tied up for days at a time!
